It’s 11 degrees Celsius outside and I’m rugged up in a very warm and cozy bed, watching Deadliest Catch.
Some fantastically awesome news
On Monday I did a shift at Marleston Tafe Library and I apparently did such a good job that the Marleston workteam have organised with the managers for me to work there 3 days a week and at O’Halloran Hill Tafe Library 2 days a week.
So 3 months ago, I was starting as a casual with 1-2 shifts a week between 3 and 7.5 hours long. Now I’m working 5 days a week, roughly 40 hours a week, with the potential of a more permanent contract when this one ends in July! Sometimes I am gobsmacked with how things have worked out, how perfectly fantastic things are right now.
Tomorrow is payday and I’ll hopefully be able to afford a car if I’m being paid what I think I’m being paid.
It’s me…at work…as a library tech!!!!!
